As our summer holiday draws to a close and we start to think about heading back into the busy schedules that uni life brings, we’ve been reflecting on the little adventures that we have managed to have in what you could call a somewhat ‘normal’ summer holiday.
Coming from a family with a background of sailing and a love for the sea, it's no surprise that our week of yacht chartering along the Pembrokeshire coast stands out as one of our fondest highlights, where we enjoyed swimming in the (cold!) sea, BBQ’s on the beach, spotting wildlife including dolphins, seals and the famous Pembrokeshire puffin.
Those couple of days at sea were an oasis from our usual hectic days and the perfect rest bite with our family. Afterall, what could be more blissful than sailing around Skomer Island with the sun in your face whilst enjoying a crab sandwich and glass of rose?
Our time on the water made us think about the tranquil effect of the coastal palette. As a matter of fact, cooling colours such as greens and blues are widely known to have a calming impact on the mind and body. Soft and neutral shades of blue have a magnificent power to reduce stress levels, and the harmonious greens which we often symbolise with nature can create a restful and refreshing environment to be in.

In fact, we’ve named one of our fabrics Light Linen Sea Breeze as it takes us back to the gentle lull of the waves lapping against the boat with the fresh sea breeze filling the sails. In particular, we love pairing our Light Linen Sea Breeze with Light Linen Dove and Linen Blue to bring this coastal palette to life.
We love to embrace the changing colours in our environment as we flow through the seasons, which makes us excited to see how the fabrics we bring into our range will be influenced by warm, earthy tones as we head into Autumn.
