These bed dressings? A cut above the rest

By choosing a Boeboes bed dressing, you are choosing exceptional quality and crafting. We have gone to great lengths to perfect our bed dressings – part of our luxury soft furnishings range. By handling all the measuring, cutting, manufacturing and dispatch from our West Wales based workroom, we are fully in control of all aspects of your valances and pillow bolsters making them perfect every time. Our staff are hand selected and trained in-house to ensure every part of your order is impeccable and reaches you in perfect order to add to your home’s look and sumptuous feel.

Just sharing an answer to a customer’s question with you:

“I see that you make and sell valances, but my partner isn’t quite sure what a valance is. Or the best way to use one. Can you help please?”

Modern beds can be very stark. Sometimes called a bed skirt, a valance is like a finishing touch for a bed. And as we make them to fit perfectly, you can have a valance on single, double, king or super king-size beds. We have even had enquiries about emperor beds! And they work particularly well on four posters, of course. They can also really smarten up a room, by hiding that ‘storage space’ gap under the bed, where you shove suitcases, boxes and more. Or you can simply add a bed valance for a bold splash of colour to brighten up a tired room. Give one a try to see what you have been missing out on!

Purely for entertainment purposes to help you sleep… yawn!

  • The largest pillow fight consisted of 7,681 participants, achieved by MyPillow, Inc. (USA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, on 18 May 2018?
  • Pro pillow fighting actually exists. The first ever winners earned a title belt and a $5,000 cash prize in January 2022.
  • The largest pillow measures 18.59 m (61 ft) long and 26.64 m wide (87 ft 4 in) and was created by Sinomax Group (China) in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, on 9 April 2014.
  • The first pillow came about 7000 years before Christ, so about 9000 years from today. It was an artifact of ancient Mesopotamians and made from pure stone. It was designed to lift the head off the floor while sleeping, to avoid insects.

Other materials have been used for pillows including wood, bamboo, marble, jade and ceramic. If it’s OK with you, we’ll stick to stuffing Boeboes cushions with a luxurious feather inner. Feather inners create the perfect plump, making our cushions super soft and insanely comfortable. Hopefully we can all sleep soundly (and insect free) now!
