Bed valances: the finishing touch to your bedding

Also known as bed skirts, valances are the perfect way to complete your bedding arrangement. A handmade, luxury Boeboes valance will give your bedroom a sleek and polished appearance with its magical ability to conceal the space between the bed base and the floor, or hide any unattractive bed bases or storage boxes under the bed.

At Boeboes we realise that the size of a typical bed base can vary within a few cm, so to make sure your bed valance fits perfectly, simply select the standard size of your bed (single, double, king or super king) on our handy website and then input your precise measurements - for tips see our measuring guide

Then select your dream fabric from our carefully selected collection: Light and airy 100% linen, luxury velvet or smart and sophisticated wool.

Our website offers an easy ordering process with handmade products made to specifications and delivered within 7-10 working days from our West Wales workroom. What’s not to love?

Be anything but blue with these top tips on promoting mindfulness in your home

Here at Boeboes, we’re all about creating an environment where you can feel at home and find comfort. Our experts let you in on some of their secrets:
“From the feature pieces to the little details, it can all make a difference to your home and your happiness! Here are 5 ways you can promote mindfulness in your space:
• Let the light in! - Sunlight is often linked with lifting your mood, so remove any barriers which withhold the sunlight and let it shine in.
• Choose colours wisely! - Colour choices hold a lot more power over your emotions than you might think. To keep your room light and bright, opt for neutral cool-toned colours.
• Open up the space! - Consider the Chinese principle of Feng Shui, and organise your furniture in a way that creates balance and harmony in your home.
• Bring the outdoors in! - Not only do house plants act as natural air filters which increase air quality, but they also have mood-lifting benefits.
• Declutter! - A tidy house for a tidy mind. Remove any clutter which stands in the way of creating an environment which you find comfort in.”

Where are you spending “Quiet Day”? (25th Feb 2024)

This sounds like a jolly good excuse to curl up in dark, quiet room surrounded by cosy Boeboes cushions and bed dressings to have a quiet moment. (Or two.)

Quiet Day is recognised as a day to lower noise levels, which can reduce stress and blood pressure. The day originally began in the Anglican Church for special devotions and meditations. In today's technological society, it is also apparently a day to reduce the use of capital letters and punctuation. Suggested ways of celebrating include going for a walk in nature, scheduling times without technology interruptions, attending a retreat or meditating. Shhhhh!

“Quiet people have the loudest minds”. Stephen Hawking.
