We love a Welsh Saint’s Day at Boeboes

Here in Wales, we have our own version of St. Valentine's Day! Dwynwen was a fifth-century saint who lived in seclusion at Llanddwyn Island - about 170 miles north of our workshop also on the West Wales coast. St Dwynwen’s Day (25^th January) celebrates the patron saint of love and friendship. The princess, who resided in what is now known as the Brecon Beacons National Park was unlucky in love, leading her to become a nun and pray for greater fortune in the love lives of others. Dwynwen gained her reputation as a figure of love thanks to a gruesome legend involving an arranged marriage gone awry, a convent, and a frozen lover. Today, Welsh lovers exchange "love spoons" to express different emotions. On this Saints Day, and all other days of the year, our products are made lovingly at our Pembrokeshire workshop.
