Sleepy Times
Lying awake in the middle of the night, have you ever wondered what is the longest time someone can go without sleep? Or even what is the world record for sleeping? Well, we have the answers so it won’t keep you awake any longer!
Longest without sleep: In 2007, Tony Wright, a 42-year-old horticulturalist from Penzance, Cornwall, stayed awake for 266 hours (11 days) to promote his theories on human neurological degeneration. He attributed his ability to stay awake to a biochemically complex raw food diet.
Longest sleep: Peter Powers, a UK hypnotist, took napping to a whole new level! Back in 1959, he dove into a hypnotic slumber that lasted a jaw-dropping eight days. Talk about hitting the snooze button like a champion!
