What should Roman blinds match with?

There are virtually no hard and fast rules when it comes to matching your furnishings. Always go with your personal taste, but we can offer you our professional opinions as a guideline. Matching Roman blinds to floors, soft furnishings, or walls - especially with neutrals - is the usual design approach.

For a neutral theme
Either pair blinds with the room’s colour or use them to add contrast/colour.

For a cohesive one or two-colour theme
Matching blinds to the main or accent colour of a room can create and improve a desired colour balance. If using two main shades, aim for each to cover 50% of the space. Alternatively, pair a main colour with a secondary or accent one.

Making a feature of the blinds themselves
It’s more about how your blinds should complement your surroundings than the other way around. It’s time for the Great British Beach Clean – 20-29 Sept 2024

As the Boeboes workroom (where all our lovely soft furnishings are dreamt up and created) is right on the Pembrokeshire coast in West Wales, this is an annual event close to our hearts.

The Great British Beach Clean, organised by the Marine Conservation Society, engages volunteers to clean UK beaches, remove litter, and protect marine life. Originating in 1994, the event has grown, involving thousands of volunteers who not only clean beaches but also collect data on litter to understand pollution sources and advocate for better environmental policies. Participants can join or organise local clean-up events to reduce beach litter, protect marine ecosystems, and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
