With great soft furnishings heritage, the two sisters are the daughters of two of the directors of Audrey Johns Ltd – makers of the finest bespoke soft furnishings - which was created by their grandmother, Audrey Johns, in 1983.

Sleeping Dogs Fascinating Facts

Dogs have developed to catch the perfect number of Zs to recharge and stay alert when it is most important. Their brains are always navigating sounds and smells around them, which uses a lot of their energy resulting in them needing a lot of rest. So here are 5 facts about dog naps.

Fact 1: Dogs often have a favourite napping spot, like their bed or your lap.
Fact 2: If they are unable to nap enough, they can experience sleep deprivation, showing signs like yawning and low energy.
Fact 3: Some may develop insomnia due to excitement or anxiety, needing a calm environment and a comfortable, dedicated sleeping area for quality sleep.
Fact 4: Uniquely, greyhounds can sleep up to 18 hours a day. And golden retrievers only need a relatively short 12 hours. While small dogs need the least amount of sleep.
Fact 5: Some dogs snore, often due to their anatomy or being overweight.
