Another Welsh Saints Day is coming – St Davids Day

We will be pulling out all the Boeboes stops on 1st March to celebrate the Patron Saint of Wales here in our workroom in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. St David founded around 1200 monasteries before his death on 1st March 589. This includes a Celtic monastic community at Glyn Rhosyn (The Vale of Roses) on the western headland of Pembrokeshire at the spot where St Davids Cathedral stands today – not a million miles away our base.

The Boeboes team are looking forward to the day’s traditional festivities including wearing daffodils and leeks – which are symbols of Wales and Saint David respectively. We might cook up some traditional Welsh food in the shape of cawl and Welsh rarebit. Perhaps some of our team will even come to work in traditional Welsh dress?
